Hi friends!
We just got home from our big summer trip, a road trip through California, and I am so excited to share all about it!
Our twins are 8 and we thought this would be the perfect time to show them California and I was right! We had a blast.

We started our adventure by flying from Charleston, SC to San Francisco, CA with Breeze Airways!

They made the process so easy because of their family seating and we didn’t even have to get off the plane for our 45-minute BreezeThru. We stayed on the, same plane from Charleston all the way to California! We were in San Francisco by lunch time.
We spent three nights in San Francisco, and we did all the touristy things: Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Alcatraz, rode a cable car, visited Chinatown and the Golden Fortune Cookie Factory, saw the Painted Ladies and the “Full House” house, drove down Lombardi Street, and ate way too much yummy food!!

We also rode in a Waymo, self-driving car, for the first time which was soooo cool!
We had the best time exploring San Francisco and then it was time to pack up the rental car and drive 4-hours to Yosemite. My husband is more of a nature person than I am, so this is the one part of the trip he planned!
We climbed the Sentinel Dome to see the sunset! This was the prettiest location I’ve ever seen!
Walked around Mariposa Grove to see the huge trees.
We hiked Lower Yosemite Falls, which is beautiful!

Then we did a little rafting.
Our last adventure was the Mist Trail, which was super intense, but we felt so accomplished when we finished this!
After 2 nights in Yosemite, it was time to head to LA! My kiddos were so excited to see where the celebrities lived in LA!
Since it was my kiddos first visit, we did all the touristy things! We got a pass through City Pass which helped us plan everything (Warner Brother Tour, hop on hop off bus, and La Brea). We had a blast!

We also hiked Griffith Park to see the sunset, it was pretty, but I’m not sure it was worth it! With all the smog in LA, it was pretty hard to see the Hollywood sign.
Our last adventure in LA was at the Sloomoo Institue which we played with and created tons of slime!! My kids were in heaven!

Then it was a short drive to check into our hotel in Anaheim, so we could end the trip with a bang… a day at Disneyland!
The night before we explored Downtown Disney and had dinner/went bowling at Splitsville and had the best time!

The next morning, we were up at the crack of dawn to visit Disneyland for the very first time! Dare I say, we liked most things about Disneyland better than Disney World! It was the perfect day and the best way to end our trip.
Our flight back home was our last day of the trip. We drove to LAX and hopped on a nonstop flight to Charleston! In only 4 hours we were back home!

Breeze made sure we were all comfortable and sitting together!

All of our bags made it to the airport with no issues, it could not have been easier. Thank you to Breeze for making our travel to and from California a BREEZE! 🙂
