I’m not usually a chili fan but this recipe is delicious! This is my mom’s recipe that she has used for years. I made it for the first time this weekend and it turned out perfect!
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1 can tomato soup
1 can tomato sauce (8-10 oz.)
1 small can tomato paste
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can chili/spicy chili beans
1 chopped onion or 1 tablespoon onion powder
Pinch of salt
¼ cup chili powder
1 can water (add more if too thick)
1. Brown the beef/turkey with chopped onion and a sprinkle of salt
2. Drain grease
3. Mix all of the ingredients with the meat in a large pot
4. Cover and simmer on low for around 1 hour
Tip: If you have leftovers, you can freeze this in mason jars! One small mason jar = one bowl.
