I am officially half way done with my SnapCorrect Invisible Aligners! Woohoo!
If you didn’t read my first post about SnapCorrect, you can find that here. I shared about why I decided to do this, taking impressions, getting my treatment plan, and starting treatment!
It took about 5 trays before I saw changes. At first, I was worried but then I realized that the aligners were moving teeth toward the back of my mouth to make room for my overcrowded teeth in the front. I literally woke up one morning and noticed the change for the first time and from there on, it’s gotten better and better! My mom even said just yesterday that my teeth looked “perfect”.
Here is a picture of my smile before I started treatment. The teeth were just a little crowded in the front and two were getting more crooked by the day. Here is my picture today, half way done with treatment.
I should also mention that I knew how to pose and hide my insecurities with my smile for pictures but now I don’t have to worry about that.
It’s easy, no one even notices that I’m wearing them, they are truly invisible. I probably wear them 23 hours a day, I only take them out when I’m eating or brushing my teeth. This also taught me how many times I snack during the day because I have to remove the aligners before I eat. Haha!
I get asked all of the time if they hurt and my answer is no! The first day when you put in a new set, it’s definitely tight but I would not say that it hurts at all. As you can tell, Camden wasn’t in the mood for pictures. 😉
I honestly think my teeth are almost perfect already and I’m only half way done (10 more trays to go)! I’m anxious and excited to see what the next 20 weeks (10 more trays) brings.
