Sassy’s Christmas Cookies

We have tried several recipes but we always go back to my aunt, Shelley’s (I call her Sassy) recipe!  They are so easy to make and delicious!!

• Mix all the ingredients:
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 cup soft margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 7 cups flour (or until stiff dough)
• Let sit in the fridge for 24 hours
• Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. We always turn the cookie sheet half way though
• Decorate and enjoy!

Note: This makes a LOT of cookies! Probably 3 dozen.  Next year, we’re going to try splitting the recipe in half.
