The playground for the rich and the famous…Monaco! Judd and I have been wanting to visit here for years and this summer we made a day trip to check it out. We flew into Nice, France and then took a train through the French Riviera to Monaco.
Although I’m glad we visited…I’ll be honest and say that I was disappointed in this part of our trip. It was my least favorite out of the 5 countries we visited. Monaco is known for being glamorous and it is! However, it is VERY small (second smallest in the world behind Vatican City). The country is very hilly so walking around is exhausting and there is honestly not too much to see. One or two days here would be perfect unless you plan to hang out at the beach or a hotel pool.
Our first stop was to the Monte Carlo Casino. We aren’t big gamblers but you can’t come to Monaco without seeing this. It was beautiful!
Then we walked along the Formula 1 Track and headed to Port Hercule/Monte Carlo Harbour.
We walked all around these looking at the amazing yachts! They were quite impressive!
Next was up the HUGE hill to see the Old Town of Monaco.
The views from the top of the hill were incredible!
We walked all around the Old Town and saw the Prince’s Palace. This area reminded me of Italy and France combined!
Then we checked out the other main port in Monaco, the Port de Fontvieille. 
Our legs were pretty tired at this point so we hopped on a little open air train. This is a great way to see the city. Other things that are highly recommended here that we did not do are the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and the Japanese Garden
That wraps up our day in the beautiful French Riviera.

Nnnniiiiccceeeee…I would like to visit the F1 race track. I always see it on Monaco and marvel at it’s beauty.
It is pretty cool! However, you would have no idea it was a racetrack by just looking at it! Just looks like a road.
