Hi Y’all!
It’s been awhile! Between traveling, our kiddos gearing up for kindergarten, and all the summer activities, and my Instagram content creator job, I haven’t had much time to write on here! But I am so excited to finally share about our big anniversary trip from June. We went to France, Belgium, Switzerland, Monaco, and Egypt! I will be sharing about all of it but today, I am sharing about our final stop…Cairo, Egypt!
Visiting the Pyramids has always been the top place on Judd’s bucket list. When I planned our anniversary trip, I added this in as a surprise for him. We flew from Europe to Cairo for a few days. We had such a special experience (even with lost luggage, sigh)!
Cairo is definitely not the safest city, so I made sure to splurge on our hotel and it was worth every single penny! The hotel we stayed at…Marriot Mena House was a dream! This is not sponsored, we paid for our stay. We felt so safe, the resort is gorgeous, the staff goes over and beyond, and look at our views…
Does it get any better?
The hotel even decorated our room for us! See the video below! A huge thanks to Moahamed Othman, he went over and beyond to make our stay incredible!
When we got to the hotel I was a mess finding out our luggage was lost but the minute I stepped into this hotel, I felt at peace! It’s a five star hotel and you will feel that instantly.
The next day, we woke up and headed to breakfast. Can we talk about these breakfast views? I could not get over this! The buffet was the nicest breakfast buffet we’ve ever been to!
Then it was time to meet our private tour guide. If you go to Egypt, I HIGHLY recommend getting a private guide and a driver. We got a private tour of the pyramids and other exhibits in Cairo/Giza, as well as, our own car. We really enjoyed this! It was surreal being there!
The next day, we spent the entire day relaxing by the pool! After 10 days of traveling, our bodies needed this day!
Then we had the most magical evening of our entire trip…the Mena House surprised us with a romantic dinner in front of the pyramids at the 139 Pavilion (one of the many restaurants at the hotel)!
Not only were the views breathtaking but the food was absolutely incredible! And they surprised us with a violinist!
It was the best way to end our anniversary trip and an experience I will never forget!
This trip would be a dream come true. The hotel views are breathtaking.
It was very surreal! We loved every minute of it!
What a cool experience! I would love to do this with my family one day. Your photos are awesome!
Thank you so much! I hope you get to!
Woah! The Mena House looks like a great place to stay, very dreamy! I can’t believe those views.
Isn’t it amazing? Definitely one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever been to!
That sounds like such an amazing adventure! I’ve always wanted to see the pyramids and Egypt in general.
It was definitely an amazing adventure! Thanks for reading!
Seeing the pyramids had to be so amazing! I love that you added on to your trip without telling your husband. That’s quite a surprise! Those views are breathtaking and would be so worth splurging on the hotel for sure.
What an amazing bucket list destination! Looks like you had an amazing time.
Thank you!!
What an amazing trip! My friend visited the pyramids not too long ago. I can’t believe you could see them from your hotel room!
Isn’t the view insane? I couldn’t believe it!
It sounds like you and your husband had a great time. I agree the views you had from your hotel were amazing.
That was a really amazing and a wonderful experience! I’m gonna add this on my bucket list! Such a really beautiful place!
Egypt is my dream country. I would love to visit it one day.
I have often thought about visiting the pyramids in Egypt, too. But here is the funny part: I never really even thought about the hotels and other accommodations nearby. You don’t normally see pictures of the pyramids like this. I didn’t know these things were so close to the pyramids themselves- close enough that you can see them in the background, while you dine!
This is really the only hotel with views like this that is upscale! Amazing, right?
Oh wow, Egypt is way more beautiful than I could’ve imagined! Thank you for sharing!
What an amazing trip! I hope to go there one day. It is on my bucket list also.
Wow i love this bucket list.I really want to visit egypt sometimes. Thanks for sharing

I’ve often thought about visiting the pyramids, but not sure if I could take the heat. It looks like you had a good time though.
It wasn’t very hot at all!
The violinist is a great surprise!! I’m sure traveling to Egypt would be oh so memorable.
I almost cried, it was so special!
The pyramids are in my bucket list for long. Thank you for the heads-up on Cairo. Dinner in front of the pyramids, as we see, is a special anniversary celebration. Many happy returns and wish you happiness forever.
It was the most romantic dinner of my life! Thanks so much!
You….RODE…a…freaking…CAMEL!!!! Who does that?! Way too cool! So adding this to the bucket list!
Haha! Isn’t that so fun?! We loved every minute of it!
