One of my favorite things to read from bloggers are “Day in the Life” posts. They give you a snapshot into people’s everyday lives! I wish I had done this while my kiddos were newborns (#absolutecraziness) and then every few months, just so I could look back on it. I’ve done a lot of Life Lately posts but never a “Day in the Life”, here goes nothing…
The day I’m writing about was a random “work day” last week. We travel a lot and we do try to keep busy but I should warn you, our normal days are just like everyone else’s…a little boring, we follow a routine, and everything revolves around our two toddlers!
Around 7 am, I woke up (Judd was already at work), I showered, made the bed, let London out, unloaded the dishwasher, started the robot vacuum, and then headed to my office to work for about 30-45 minutes.
Around 8:15, I heard the kiddos start to wake up! Good Morning, my favorite twinsies!!
I changed them and then it was time for breakfast. They eat the same thing almost every morning: milk, vitamin gummy, whole wheat toast, bananas, and turkey sausage.
Happy kiddos!!
Last year at this time, we took London to a dog training class and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. She sat on her “spot” until we released her after breakfast.
The rest of the morning until lunch was spent playing! These two LOVE to play!
We also talked to Lovey (who had just gotten out of the shower, lol)!
Around 12:00, it was time for lunch!
After lunch, we read a few books and then it was nap time for Camden and Ella.
While, they were sleeping I worked on some photo shoots. Part of my job as a blogger is creating content and providing brand awareness for companies. I try to take my “product” pictures one day a week. Here I’m doing a photoshoot for a shoe insert. When Judd isn’t home, I use my tripod to take pictures. 🙂
Around 3:00, Judd got home and the kiddos woke up!
Judd, Camden, and Ella ate a snack and played while I finished up my individual shoots and then it was time for dinner!
After dinner, we went swimming for a couple of hours!
Then it was home to take baths and unwind for the day.
Around 9:00 we put the kiddos to bed. Every night after we put the kids to bed (and when Judd is home and not working), Judd and I grab a sweet treat like ice cream or cookies and watch TV together before bed. It’s our time to relax before the day is over.
Around 10:00, we both headed to bed. One more “work day” and then it was the weekend for us! We usually spend our weekends at the beach or traveling. 🙂
You had a full day here, that’s for sure. But it looks fun too. I’d be all about being by the water. I hope you did make it to the beach!
We did the next day! :). Thanks so much!
This sounded like a really nice day for your family. It’s great that you were able to get some fun outdoor time!
Thanks, it was! We try to get outside as much as possible, we love living in SC because of the beautiful weather!
What a busy and fun-packed day it seemed like you have! There’s nothing like spending some time at the pool and your pup is a cutie as well.
Thanks so much!!
Very eventful day! Winding down with a swim sounds fun and so does the evening sweets. ~ Kelli A
Thanks! The evening was definitely my favorite part of the day 🙂

I have to commend you having a wonderful space to work. It must be extra fun day by day spending it with the kiddos. The pictures looks amazing.
It looks like you are really enjoying your time with the kids. I miss those days occasionally but I really feel like I lived in the moment then and enjoyed my daughter’s childhood while it was happening. That is the key to really enjoying each new phase life brings you to. You are doing great, mom!
Looks like a busy and fun day. Love your sign with the shoes. So true and funny. Also love the time you spend with the kids having fun
Our grand twins are almost 5 and they are the best thing that ever happened to us. It was a little overwhelming at first especially with the NICU and then heart and lung machines but now they are so healthy you would never know that they were born 3 months early!
